"Good Morning America" meteorologist Ginger Zee married her fiance Ben Aaron over the weekend and showcased her home state of Michigan in the process, according to Mlive.com.
"I am so proud to be from Michigan and I have countless memories of growing up along this gorgeous lake,”
Zee told People. "I wanted to have one of the most important moments of my life here and make another one of those memories."

"Bringing our crazy families from all over the States to enjoy some peace and quiet in northern Michigan will be the greatest day of our lives," Zee had told People magazine before the wedding.
Zee and Aaron, both 32, were married on the shores of Lake Michigan near Petoskey. Their reception included music from Zee's brother's band, Outer Vibe.
A native of Rockford in northern Michigan,
Zee had Traverse City cherries put in the wedding guests’ salads, MLive said. Guests also found Mackinac Island fudge in their rooms. The reception also included bagel-wrapped hot dogs made by Herman Boy’s in Grand Rapids.
“We’ve had calls from Maryland and Tennessee. You can’t pay for that type of advertising, for sure," Herman Boy’s owner Jeff Havemeier told MLive. "A lot of credit goes to Ginger Zee for remembering her hometown.”
"It really was a Michigan day," added Zee's friend Kelley Iuele, a Rockford native who now lives in New York.
Zee’s husband, Ben Aaron, is a correspondent for WNBC in New York. He asked Zee to marry him last August in front of the Lincoln Center fountain where they had their first date.
