"Fifty Shades of Grey" fans got their first peek at the movie trailer of the big screen adaptation of the racy, too-hot-to-handle best seller by E.L. James Thursday, complete with a haunting reworking of Beyonce's 2003 hit "Crazy in Love."

The video, featuring Jamie Dornan as the dashing Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson as his unexpecting love interest Anastasia Steele, had already generated more than 1,000 comments and 11,000 likes on YouTube within three hours of its posting Thursday.

Johnson, daughter of actors Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith, told NBC's "Today" on Thursday that she did not think she would want her parents to see the movie.

"If it were them doing a (sexy) movie I wouldn't want them to see that (either)," Johnson said with a laugh.

Dornan added, though, he believes he and Johnson have the kind of chemistry on the set that makes the movie work.

"That's a big part of it ... having trust," he told "Today." Because, you know, we got ourselves into situations that don't feel that sort of natural and they're not that easy and you need to have the trust there."

The steamy trailer provoked a big reaction on social media Thursday.
