Sylvester Stallone's Twitter rant Tuesday made it clear that Bruce Willis would no longer be in the cast of the upcoming "The Expendables 3," but now the reason why has been revealed. Willis wanted $1 million a day.
Willis, who starred alongside the ensemble of action heroes like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jason Statham in the first two installments, reportedly wanted the $1 million-a-day salary for a four-day shoot in Bulgaria.
"He said he'd drop out unless he got $4 million,"
a source close to the production told the Hollywood Reporter. "A million dollars a day. Stallone and everybody else involved said no."

The team of producers and Stallone, who wrote the series, then reached out to Harrison Ford to replace Willis.
"I think [Willis] was pretty surprised he was replaced in 72 hours by Harrison Ford — a better actor, a much nicer person and a more interesting direction for the film," the source told the Hollywood Reporter.
Stallone's tweets Tuesday alluded to the tension between "The Expendables 3" producers and Willis but didn’t name the "Die Hard" star directly.
A rep for Stallone later confirmed to the Huffington Post that the tweets were, indeed, about Willis.
Willis has not commented on Stallone's tweets or his decision to drop out of the film.
