Emma Watson ranks No. 1 in a poll asking who are the top 99 of the world's outstanding women, according to website AskMen.com.

Cage fighter Ronda Rousey came in second, with reality show star Kim Kardashian, singer Taylor Swift, and Olympic gold medal winning skier Lindsey Vonn rounding out the poll's top five selections.

Watson rose to fame with Daniel Radcliffe in the "Harry Potter" movie franchise and also has made a name for herself in the United Nations' HeForShe campaign, noted AskMen,  comparing her women's rights work with what her Hermione Granger character stood for in the "Harry Potter" films.

"So it's fitting that the little girl who was cast to play her back in 1999 would grow up to become a woman not so different from the fictional heroine she embodied," noted AskMen. "The 24-year-old Watson has noble pursuits in mind. Her alignment with the United Nations' HeForShe campaign has made her the face of feminism right now, and she's helping change the way men think about women. Now that's power."

Watson, a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN, talked about her HeForShe campaign at the United Nations last September in an attempt to recruit men and women to talk about the cause of women's rights, reported Entertainment Weekly.

"When I was 8, I was called bossy because I wanted to direct a play we would put on for our parents," Watson told the audience. "I decided that I was a feminist. This seemed uncomplicated to me."

"I realized that fighting for women's rights has too often become synonymous with man-hating (and) women are choosing not to identify as feminists. For the record, feminism by definition is the belief that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities. It is the theory of political, economic and social equality of the sexes," said Watson.

"Whatever you do, don't tell Ronda Rousey she fights like a girl," noted AskMen, adding that along with her fights she will also appear in the movies "Furious 7" and "Entourage." "For one, as the recent #LikeAGirl hashtag made abundantly clear, it's time to drop an antiquated insult like that. For two, if she fights like anything, she fights like a winner."
