Elisabeth Hasselbeck is unhappy about news that Rosie O’Donnell may be returning to “The View,” and
TMZ equated her response to calling the move treason.
“Talk about not securing the border. Here comes to ‘The View’ the very woman who spit in the face of our military, spit in the face of her own network and really in the face of a person who stood by her and had civilized debates for the time that she was there,” Hasselback said via telephone to the co-hosts at “Fox & Friends.”

Hasselbeck was a co-host on “The View” for 10 years. O’Donnell was a co-host for one year, leaving in 2007 not long after a heated on-air argument with Hasselbeck.
Hasselbeck told "Fox & Friends" that she thought O'Donnell’s return to the show had been in the works for a long time.
She said O’Donnell helped produce a May TV special that celebrated Barbara Walters’ retirement.
“(For O’Donnell) to have such ease the day of Barbara’s goodbye show was shocking to me. Would you think that the woman who left the way that she did would be producing (Walters’) goodbye show? Here’s the shocker: It was actually (O’Donnell’s) hello show,” Hasselbeck said.
Hasselbeck predicted tension between current "The View" moderator Whoopi Goldberg and O’Donnell.
Reactions on Twitter were mixed and sharp.
