Pro wrestler turned box-office A-lister Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was named Monday as Hollywood's
highest-earning movie star for 2013 by Forbes magazine.
Johnson earned the title on the strength of "Fast & Furious 6," along with a smaller successes this year with "G.I. Joe: Retaliation," "Pain and Gain," and "Snitch."

Johnson's movies totaled $1.3 billion at the box office worldwide. The No. 2 movie earner Robert Downey Jr., who had a mega-hit this summer with "Iron Man 3," ($1.2 billion) out-earned Johnson by $29 million with $75 million in estimated earnings between June 2012 and June 2013.
That number is different from how many dollars each star's movies brought in at the box office worldwide this year.
"Fast & Furious 6" helped place Vin Diesel and the late Paul Walker in the Top 10 of Forbes' list as well. Diesel pulled in $887 million worldwide with "Furious" and his third "Riddick" film.
Johnson, Diesel, and Walker were shooting "Fast & Furious 7" when Walker died on Nov. 30 in an automobile accident. Universal said they will work around Walker's death and include the scenes he has already shot in the upcoming film.
Oscar award-winning Sandra Bullock, who had a hit this year with "Gravity," was the highest-ranking female, with her movies earning $862 million.
Jennifer Lawrence, who ranked No. 10 on this year's list ($700 million), will experience a big jump next year because "Hunger Games: Catching Fire" and "American Hustle" were both released outside of Forbes' survey period for this year.
Others making the Top 10 include Steve Carell at No. 3 ($964 million), Billy Crystal and John Goodman tied for No. 7 ($743 million), and Chris Hemsworth at No. 9 ($701 million).
While the continued shooting of "Fast & Furious 7" is still up in the air, Johnson is set to appear in "Hercules" in July 2014 and the disaster movie "San Andreas" in 2015.
