Drew Barker, quarterback of the University of Kentucky's football team, was sucker punched at a college residence hall in retaliation for an earlier fight at a nightclub. The January incident is making news now that a security video of the punch has gone viral.

Baker was decked by the surprise punch from Eastern Kentucky University defensive lineman Patrick Graffree after Barker and two other Kentucky players – Dorian Baker and Tymere Dubose – entered Telford Hall on the EKU campus, reported the Lexington Herald-Leader.

The three UK players reportedly were involved in a fight earlier in the night at Jerzee's Cocktail Lounge & Dance Club in Richmond, near the EKU campus. The fight left EKU lineman Colton Scurry with a broken nose and other facial fractures.

A surveillance video at Telford Hall released this week by EKU police shows Graffree taking off his sweatshirt and walking up behind Barker before hitting him and then leaving.

The video has received more than 795,000 views on YouTube since it was posted by the Herald-Leader on Tuesday. Barker, though, appeared to bounce back up after the sucker punch before leaving.

Richmond Police said in an investigative report that a bar video revealed that it was Scurry who started the bar fight with the Kentucky players, noted the Herald-Leader.

"(The video) made it apparent ... that Mr. Scurry was the primary aggressor in the altercation," said the police report. "He entered into a crowd willingly (without any physical altercation) and threw a punch at an unidentified male."

Will Ruholt, a friend of Barker, told the Louisville Courier-Journal in January after the bar fight that things escalated quickly when Scurry confronted their group.

"We were in the back part of Jerzee's," said Will Ruholt. "A couple people started talking (abusively) and things started to get a little heated. Colton Scurry is the one who started the entire fight. He pushed me. Multiple people can verify that."

Jeff Scurry, Colton Scurry's father, said his son got the worst of the fight.

"He's got so much swelling," Jeff Scurry told the Courier-Journal. "He couldn't see for the last two days. Several fractures in his face and nose."
