"Donut Boy" visited Iowa police near Des Moines, Iowa, on Monday to deliver doughnuts to them and to thank them for their service.

KCRG reported Tyler Carach, 10, of Florida handed out the sweets at Des Moines' Polk County River Center as part of a national tour that has brought him and his mother to 33 states in the last two years.

Carach started giving doughnuts to police after he asked his mom if he could buy mini donuts at the local grocery store.

“And then I asked my mom why were they so happy over a snack and she said, ‘It wasn’t because of a snack, because they get snacks all the time. It’s because you said, “Thank you,”’” KCRG reported.

Carach has delivered thousands of doughnuts to officers and is funded through a GoFundMe page, although Monday’s doughnuts and others were donated by Dunkin Donuts, KCRG reported.

"Donut Boy: is able to take so many trips because he attends a charter school, We Are Iowa reported. He wears a cape with doughnuts on it.

“His goal is to thank every cop in America, so Iowa is definitely on that list,” Tyler’s mom Sheena Carach said in an interview with We Are Iowa.
