Donald Trump hosted the USA Freedom Kids, a musical group comprised of three young girls, as the opening act for his massive campaign rally in Pensacola, Florida, and their performance has since gone viral across the web.
In "The Official Donald Trump Jam," the trio sing about freedom, and endorse the GOP frontrunner as "President Donald Trump."
USA Freedom Kids is managed by Jeff Popick, 53, a former Hollywood stunt driver, whose daughter, Alexis, 8, is front and center during the performance, pumping her fist while she belts out the lyrics.
"I love my daughter, I love spending time with my daughter, I love my country, I love patriotic music," Popick
told The Washington Post.
"To me, freedom is everything. That’s what this group is about. That’s what I’m about. Freedom for everybody. That’s the inspiration."
The group was formed roughly six months ago by Popick and a former "Kidz Bop" employee who assembled the lineup through casting calls, and they are currently in the middle of recording a full-length studio album of patriotic songs like "America The Beautiful" and "Grand Old Flag,"
Business Insider reported.
They've also written a few original songs, including the "Trump Jam" and
one inspired by the events of Sept. 11, 2001, and performed in September at a Miami Marlins game.
Popick said that the "Trump Jam" was originally written about US Army Gen. George Patton, but was revised to endorse Trump.
"I was watching when Donald Trump announced his candidacy, and he talked about the need for a strong military. And I remember him saying that, 'We're going to find the next Gen. George Patton," Popick said. "When Donald Trump said that, I was inspired to make it even more contemporary than it already was, and make it more about Donald Trump."
