The much-anticipated Diagon Alley attraction opened at Universal Studios Orlando this week, providing some superfans with an immersive experience that brought them to tears, while angering others with seven hour-plus wait times.
Wizards and Muggles alike began lining up to enter the new expansion on the park's Wizarding World of Harry Potter at
5:45 a.m. Tuesday, MyNews13.com reported. Diagon Alley, the bustling London wizarding district from the Potter books and movies, features staples such as the Leaky Cauldron and Ollivanders, as well as a new roller coaster ride, Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts.

"The much-awaited Diagon Alley addition to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park officially opened and some fans had a
very emotional experience," The Huffington Post reported. "Admittedly, we probably would cry too. The new park is basically a picture-perfect replica of the film sets, with no shortage of goblins, rare merchandise, and magic. From tears to ultra-wide smiles, emotions ran the gamut."
Many expressed their opinions about the new Diagon Alley attraction on social media.
Some, though, showed their frustration with the long lines and seemingly endless hours of waiting. The wait time for the Gringotts ride reportedly reached 450 minutes — seven and a half hours — at one point
Tuesday, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
