Derek Jeter has listed his castle-like mansion in Greenwood Lake, New York, for sale with a price tag of $14.75 million for the four-acre shoreline property the former New York Yankees great has owned since 2003, according to NJ Advance Media.

The 12,590-square-foot residence, called the Tiedemann Castle located a quarter-mile from the New Jersey-New York line, has been on the market since June 18, the website said.

The property includes four indoor kitchens, three houses (main house, guest house, pool house), an infinity pool, a lagoon, a waterfall, a game room, an elevator and a widow's walk overlooking the lake, along with a replica Statue of Liberty, NJ Advance Media said.

"This Gem on the Lake, with nearly 700 feet of shoreline, is perfect as a full-time residence or a weekend/summer getaway," the real estate website Trulia said. "Pass through the gate in the six foot stone wall and enter this magical property. It has been lovingly restored, with unparalleled attention to detail, beyond its original grandeur over the past 15 years.'

According to the Times Herald-Record, the castle was built by New York doctor Rudolph H.E. Gudewill in 1903 and John Tiedemann purchased the property in 1952 for his wife Julia and their large family.

The publication said Jeter had a connection with the property because his maternal grandfather, William "Sonny" Connors, grew up there after the Tiedemanns adopted him in the 1950s, according to Times Herald-Record.

Jeter retired from the Yankees in 2014 after a stellar career and is now the co-owner and chief executive officer of the Miami Marlins, according to the publication.

According to the Miami Herald last year, Jeter moved into a 5,200-square-foot 19th floor apartment in the Coconut Grove complex in downtown Miami, which was listed for $6.5 million. The newspaper said Jeter lived in a 32,000-square-foot English-style waterfront manor at Tampa's Davis Islands in Florida.
