Demi Lovato is "embarrassed" by how her ex-fiance, Max Ehrich, has been behaving following their breakup, according to a report. Lovato announced last week that the pair had called their engagement off after two months but Ehrich claimed he only learned of the split when it made the news. It later emerged that he was allegedly "lying" and now a source has revealed to E! News that Lovato wants "no contact" with him following his behavior.
"She is completely embarrassed at the way he's been acting and putting their relationship on blast via social media. She wants nothing to do with him," the insider said, adding that Ehrich had tried to "reach out" to the singer and was "in denial" about their split.
Ehrich first spoke about the breakup in a series of Instagram stories on Saturday, according to the outlet.
"Imagine finding out to the status of your relationship through a tabloid," he shared. "While your in the middle of filming a biopic movie about a Pastor in a Christian Church whose intention of the film is to help people."
A source later said he was "lying."
"Demi did tell him beforehand," the insider told E! News.
It was initially reported that Lovato and Ehrich had decided to go their separate ways to focus on their careers but a second source said their relationship had been taking strain for a while.
"They were arguing a lot. There has been a lot of tension and Demi left him to get a clear head," the insider said. "She didn't know who Max truly was and didn't think he had good intentions. There were many red flags she was ignoring and trying to turn a blind eye to."
The first source added that the singer's family members did not approve of Ehrich.
"Her family thinks he is crazy and is so relieved she has taken this step."
