A 3-year-old girl pronounced dead of fever awoke Sunday during her own funeral service in a church in the Philippines.
According to The Philippine Star, police senior inspector Heidil Teelan, police chief of Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur, confirmed that a video posted to YouTube showing the baby's father lifting her from the casket is authentic, and that they've decided to keep the family's name private.
Teelan said that they confirmed the baby's death pronouncement.

"The attending clinic personnel and physician confirmed that the young patient had no more pulse and was clinically dead last Saturday morning about 9 a.m.," Teelan said.
Family and friends attending the funeral service said that a neighbor opened the lid of the girl's casket to arrange the contents inside, and saw the baby's head move.
"This prompted them to check and confirmed the girl had pulse and was alive," Teelan explained.
The family gave her water, and took her back to the clinic. The clinic cleared her to go home after examining her. Nurses were sent back to the family's house with the girl, and they are arranging to have her visit a larger hospital soon.
"We really can not make confirmation on the status of the girl but based on the observation of the police personnel I deployed it appears the girl remained in a state of comatose in their house," Teelan concluded.
