David Cassidy was moved to ICU at a Florida hospital over the weekend after the former "Partridge Family" star was rushed to the facility last week suffering from organ failure.

The former teen heartthrob, 67, needs a liver transplant, TMZ reported, and was listed in critical condition before he was taken to the intensive care unit at the hospital, which was not identified by the celebrity gossip media outlet.

Sources told TMZ that the singer's immediate family, including his son and ex-wife, were asked to return to the hospital.

"He's in the ICU and being taken care of as best as possible right now," Cassidy's representative told the New York Daily News.

Cassidy is best known for his role as Keith Partridge, the eldest son and lead singer of the fictional family band "The Partridge Family," whose sitcom ran from 1970 to 1974, noted the Daily News.

He also battled alcohol abuse issues throughout his acting and singing career that ended up with DWI arrests in 2010, 2013 and 2014, the Daily News reported. The newspaper said the singer filed for bankruptcy in 2015.

Cassidy blamed dementia for an incident earlier this year when he stumbled off a stage and was slurring his words, the Daily News stated.

Led by his former "Partridge Family" costar Danny Bonaduce, celebrities and fans passed along their well wishes on social media.
