Hope Mills, N.C., teen Danielle Locklear has been missing since March 11 when she left her grandfather’s house saying she was walking to a friend's house, and police are continuing their investigation into her disappearance by searching two homes and taking evidence.
Police searched two homes Friday, took items for evidence, and
interviewed two people in Locklear's case, WTVD-TV reported.

Meanwhile, an autopsy is underway on the body of a young woman found floating in the South River on Wednesday. Police suspect the body may be 15-year-old Locklear, WTVD said.
It also appears that after Locklear went missing, someone filed a search warrant that said she was assaulted “causing severe injury and possibly death” after
refusing to provide sexual favors to a male and others at a creek, WNCN News reported. Officers were unable to confirm the report and have discounted the story for now.
The unidentified body was found near Autryville. On Thursday,
Locklear’s aunt, Chena Papa, told WTVD that the family was fearful.
"We love Danielle. We miss Danielle. We hope nothing has happened to her," Papa said. "We're scared to our bones because we do have ties out there in Autryville. So that's why we're scared."
"Don't stop praying," Papa continued. "That's what we need right now more than anything."
Some of the teen's clothes were found along the banks of
Old Rockfish Creek on March 13, according to the Fayetteville Observer.
The disappearance has shaken the community. Hundreds of residents have helped with the search.
"Growing up when I was a child, we didn't have to lock our doors," Suzanne Jaeger told the Fayetteville Observer. "Now I won't even let my daughter go out to get the mail. I feel unsafe. I think a lot of our neighbors feel the same way."
The FBI is involved in the investigation.
