Matt Damon Does Clinton Impersonation for Jay Leno on 'Tonight Show' (Video)

Matt Damon appeared on the “Tonight Show with Jay Leno” to talk about his new film “Promised Land,” but the film star got off topic to give his best Bill Clinton impression.

He recalled visiting Camp David in 1997 with fellow “Good Will Hunting” stars Ben Affleck and Robin Williams. This was around the time when John Travolta portrayed Clinton in the political satire “Primary Colors” as a womanizer.

Damon impersonated Clinton’s reaction to Travolta’s depiction of him.

“What [Clinton] said was ... "I understand they offered that part to Tom Hanks. Tom Hanks turned it down. He said it was disrespectful of the office of the president of the United States of America. I like Tom Hanks."

Damon, who considers himself liberal, was one of President Barack Obama’s staunchest early supporters. Last April, though, he slammed Obama in ELLE Magazine, saying he was disappointed with his administration.

Damon has criticized Obama on his education mandate and what he says is a lack of leadership for resurrecting the downward economy.

“[The Obama administration] had a chance that they don't have any more to stand up for things,” Damon told “Independent” last year. “I think he's rolled over to Wall Street completely. They've probably squandered that at this point. They'll probably just make whatever deals they can to try to get elected again."
