Cooper Hefner, the 26-year-old third son and youngest child of recently deceased Playboy founder Hugh Hefner is the heir to at least some of his father’s estate.
Although the apple may not fall far from the tree when it comes to liberal politics and wanting to lead Playboy, Cooper Hefner, the current Chief Creative Officer of Playboy Enterprises, has a mission to move the Playboy brand into the future so the current generation can relate to it, Money magazine reported. He recently backed the decision to reinstate nude photos in the magazine after they were removed in 2015.
After Hugh Hefner's death Wednesday, Cooper Hefner tweeted a moving tribute to his father, calling his life “exceptional and impactful” and saying he had a “leading voice behind some of the most significant social and cultural movements of our time in advocating free speech, civil rights and sexual freedom.”
The Playboy executive follows in the footsteps of his older half-sister Christie, 64, who served as president, chairman, and chief executive officer for the brand from the 1980s until 2009 when she stepped down from her role at the brand. Cooper Hefner said he often asks his sister for advice and support since she was in a similar role to his within the company, People reported.
Cooper Hefner has been engaged to Scarlett Byrne since 2015, and he likes to travel around the world in luxury style, flying on the Playboy jet or driving sports cars as part of a lavish lifestyle, which he chronicles on Instagram, Money reported.
