Bad boy singer Chris Brown is being accused of assaulting a woman at an Orange County nightclub Saturday after his performance with Nicki Minaj at the Honda Center, but some are coming to Brown's defense. Anaheim police are trying to sort it out.
Police confirmed they are investigating a claim of an assault involving Brown. Deanna Gines, 24, said Brown pushed her to the ground, sending her to her knees, the New York Daily News reported.
"On Sunday, a female victim called Anaheim Police to report she was assaulted on Saturday night at Heat Ultra Lounge," Sgt. Bob Dunn told the Daily News. "She said the alleged suspect was male and that he pushed her and in doing so caused her injury."

Gines told TMZ.com that she was partying in the VIP section of Heat Ultra Lounge in Anaheim after Brown performed. She said near the end of the night, Brown deliberately pushed her to the ground for an unknown reason. Gines said doctors informed her she suffered torn ligaments from the assault and may need surgery, according to TMZ.com.
She shared a photo of her crutches and with leg brace with the celebrity website.
Brown denied the charges, the Daily News said. The newspaper said Brown tweeted that: "The devil is always working. . . . I’m tired of it man….!"
Brown's representative Nicole Perna told USA Today that Gines' claims were "totally false and unfounded." Perna said that witnesses told her that Gines "caused the physical harm to herself in her belligerent state."
Mike Joher of Royal Entertainment joined Perna, also telling USA Today that "the claimant was trying to jump on stage and security was doing their job by keeping people away from Chris. There was no way that he could have touched her, his section was roped off and he had heavy security surrounding him. Witnesses state that she was persistently trying to rush Chris. She was eventually removed from the club."

The R&B singer is still on felony probation for hitting former girlfriend and singer Rihanna before an awards show in 2009, according to the Daily News. Brown reportedly fought with singer Frank Ocean over a parking space, but that case was never prosecuted, the newspaper said.
