The Cheesecake Factory in Miami has reportedly suspended workers who harassed a President Donald Trump supporter who wore a "Make America Great Again" cap there as they investigate in the incident, WFOR-TV reported.

Eugene Joseph, 22, charged that he was "bullied and belittled" after taking his girlfriend's family to the Cheesecake Factory in Dadeland Mall on Mother's Day, the television station reported.

He said he was wearing the distinctive red hat made popular during Trump's successful 2016 presidential campaign when workers allegedly threatened to knock the hat off his head, WFOR-TV said. Joseph also claimed that the restaurant's kitchen staff booed him.

Joseph alleged that at some point, some staff members gathered behind him and made derogatory remarks under their breath and even threatened to hit him, WFOR-TV said.

The television station said that Miami-Dade Police made an incident report after they were called to the scene.

One woman sitting at Joseph's table told police she "felt uneasy due to several employees gathering around her table and cracking their knuckles," according to WFOR-TV.

One witness told the website The Daily Wire that one female employee pointed out the hat to other employees.

"Her finger was literally on top of his head, we were all looking at her like 'what is happening?'" the witness told The Daily Wire. "She was pointing at him, calling her other coworkers, telling them to look at this guy wearing a Make America Great Again hat."

Joseph told The Daily Wire that employees continued to taunt him as he went to the restroom.

"I got up and went to the restroom, my girlfriend followed me, and as we were walking back, a group of [the employees] came out from the back and they just started clapping and yelling, and just screaming things at me," Joseph told the website.

The Cheesecake Factory posted on Twitter that the employees involved in the incident were suspended after it was posted online by conservative commentator Ann Coulter.

Some on social media claimed that the Cheesecake Factory's measures were not enough for the alleged harassment.
