Actresses Alyssa Milano and Rose McGowan, who both starred as witch sisters on The WB's "Charmed," aren't fans of the idea of a remake of the magical series, which is rumored to be in development on CBS.

"Charmed," which aired from 1998 to 2006, told the story of the Halliwell sisters, played by Milano, Holly Marie Comb, and McGowan (who replaced Shannen Doherty in the fourth season). The sisters were good witches who worked to protect the world from evil beings like demons and warlocks.

Though the show ended seven years ago, CBS seems to be looking to cash in on the newest witch TV trend as seen on shows like "American Horror Story: Coven" and "Witches of East End." Milano, 40, even believes "Charmed" paved the way and helped groom audiences to be receptive to shows like those.

"I think really it's due to the success of 'Charmed,'" she told E! News recently. "The fact that it had so much success even after it was done, meaning that people looked for it, people searched it out, and watched those episodes over and over.

"The 'Charmed' fans are the greatest fans on the planet and the most loyal fans on the planet. I feel like networks are trying to replicate that."

But Milano, who currently appears on the ABC series "Mistresses" and the Lifetime reality series "Project Runway: All Stars," doesn’t seem excited about the prospect.

McGowan, 40, who appeared recently on the ABC show "Once Upon a Time," mirrored Milano's frustration with a few tweets of her own.
