Charles Manson’s pen pal of 20 years will receive his entire estate, according to a will published by TMZ.

Manson, the hippie cult leader who orchestrated the gruesome murders of pregnant actress Sharon Tate and six others in Los Angeles during the summer of 1969, died last Sunday of natural causes after nearly a half-century in prison. He was 83.

The pen pal, whom TMZ did not name, exchanged letters and phone calls with Manson starting in the 1990s and even visited Manson at California’s Corcoran State Prison. Manson’s will, dated February 14, 2002, leaves personal belongings, including cash, image rights, music rights, writings and clothing to the pen pal.

Manson in the will says he disinherited both sons – Charles Manson Jr. and Michael Brunner – “and any unknown children in the present and in the future from my estate.”

The pen pal has five more days to claim Manson’s body if he doesn’t want it to be cremated.

The will includes a handwritten note from Manson that says, “I’m not in the best spot to rest in peace,” along with his signature.

Jason Freeman, a 41-year-old who says he is Manson’s grandson, has retained an attorney to petition authorities for control of Manson’s estate and is pushing for Manson to have a “proper burial.”
