Twitter users jumped on CBS for misspelling the name of its chief executive and chairman Les Moonves during the "CBS Evening News" Thursday.
CBS News was reporting on the fallout of the sexual misconduct allegations against Moonves first reported by The New Yorker when his name appeared as "Mooves" on a graphic as anchor Jeff Glor presented the story, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
In a story by Ronan Farrow, who won a Pulitzer Prize for his reporting on Harvey Weinstein and his sexual harassment scandal last year, six women charged Moonves with harassment and intimidation while others described abuse at the television network.
Despite the allegations, which even received a pointed commentary from CBS' own "Late Show" host Stephen Colbert this week, according to Variety, Moonves received no questions about the allegations of misconduct during the network's earnings call Thursday, The Hollywood Reporter stated.
But Twitter users were all over CBS for the Moonves misspelling on national television.
CBS Corp. said on Wednesday it retained two law firms for a full investigation into the allegations about Moonves, CBS News, and cultural issues in the company.
