Carrie Fisher's daughter has welcomed her first child into the world after keeping her pregnancy secret. Billie Lourd announced the birth of her son in an Instagram post on Thursday, stunning everyone.
"Introducing: Kingston Fisher Lourd Rydell," she captioned a photo of the baby's tiny feet peeking out of a blanket.
Lourd shares Kingston with her fiancé of three months, Austen Rydell. They chose Kingston's full name in honor of Carrie Fisher, who died in December 2016 at 60.
Carrie Fisher's "Star Wars" co-star Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker in the films, was among several celebrities to congratulate the couple on the birth of their son.
"Congratulations to #BillieLourd & #AustenRydell on the arrival of their firstborn child: Kingston Fisher Lord Rydell!!! I can't think of another baby with both "KING" AND "LORD" in their name. Nice," he wrote to Twitter.
Actress Jamie Lee Curtis was stunned by the news.
"WAIT WHAT????" she replied to Lourd's Instagram post.
"Screaming!!! Love you guys so much," Emma Robers wrote.
"Congratulations Mama And Papa and family!" added award-winning actor Matt Bomer added.
Lea Michele was one of the select few to have known about Lourd's pregnancy and was thrilled to hear of Kingston's birth.
"He’s finally here! So happy for you! Boy moms!" she wrote to Lourd.
Lourd and Rydell first began dating in 2015 but later called things off but in 2017 they rekindled their relationship, according to Fox News.
