Carrie Underwood debuted her own revamped version of the theme song for NBC's "Sunday Night Football" this weekend, and fans are loving the new, edgier anthem.
Underwood, 30, was chosen to replace fellow country star Faith Hill as the songstress behind the football theme song. Hill sang the tune, a rewrite of Joan Jett's 1988 rock hit "I Hate Myself for Loving You," for six straight seasons.
Underwood's said she wanted to make sure she personalized her version of "Sunday Night."

"Obviously, we wanted to make it sound like me, but we definitely
wanted to bring a fun edge to it," she told USA Today. "I mean, people are getting ready to watch a big football game. I know I'm known for some big notes, but it was more about just bringing the energy."
The Checotah, Okla., native rose to fame in 2005 when she won season four of "American Idol." Her full-length debut, "Some Hearts," followed. Since then she has clocked 17 No. 1 country hits on Billboard and was even a 2009 inductee into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame.
Underwood said she was excited about performing for a new audience.
"It's wonderful to be in front of an audience that might be a little different for me and to be a part of football season," the singer, who sang the national anthem for Super Bowl XLIV in 2010, said. "I love football season. I love people tailgating. I love people getting together to watch games. We always have people over to watch games at our house. So just to be able to stay a little bit a part of that is awesome."
Underwood hinted at the song's debut on Twitter ahead of the game Sunday.
