Herman Cain says President Barack Obama appears to be “determined to destroy our capitalistic system,” based on his push for bigger government and his “anti-business” policies.
“I didn’t believe it three years ago [when Obama took office], but today I believe that that’s definitely what he wants to do,” the former Republican presidential candidate told Fox News’ Sean Hannity Wednesday.
“If you look at everything that this president has done, his actions have all been in favor of big government, more regulations, anti-business, and he basically does not believe in the capitalistic system that we have,” Cain said. “So, as a result, he is not going to bend the least for political expediency because he is determined to destroy our capitalistic system.”
Cain said Obama would do well to at least heed the advice of former President Bill Clinton, who has said that extending the tax cuts enacted under President George W. Bush is “the best thing to do right now,” since Republicans and Obama can’t seem to agree on anything to help right the economy.
“He recognizes that if we continue with the current policy of allowing the tax codes to expire, we will fall into a recession,” Cain said of Clinton. “So, at least Bill Clinton is being realistic about this taxmageddon that we’re headed for, whereas Barack Obama is totally oblivious to it.”
