A bucket list for a baby with a rare terminal illness was started by her parents in hopes of giving the 8-month-old Wisconsin girl a full life in the short time doctors predicted she has left.

Zailynn Mars suffers from spinal muscular atrophy, a degenerative disease, and physicians believe she will live roughly two more years before the illness eventually claims her, her father Cory Mars told WBAY-TV.

The disease has already taken away some of her motor functions and the girl needs special breathing treatments regularly.

"In August she could hold her head up a little bit for a couple of seconds with support, and now she's got none of that," said her mother Katie Mars. "She's got to lay flat pretty much 95 percent of the time so she keeps her airway clean."

The parents told ABC News they created the 51-item bucket list to improve Zailynn life moments.

"Number one is to have daddy walk me down the aisle," Cory Mars said. "Being able to walk my daughter down the aisle at her wedding is the best thing I'd ever do that I'd never be able to do."

The couple improvised that bucket list item when Mars walked her daughter down the aisle at a friend's wedding in September. The family held a mock prom at the family's church in Fairwater to fulfill Bucket List No. 29.

"With my daughter's story, we want her to bring a positive impact on everybody's life," Mars said. "She a very excited baby – happy to see anybody. If you look into her stroller, you'll definitely get a smile. She's 100 percent a daddy’s girl."

The family has raised more than $10,000 on a Go Fund Me.com page as the family shared their daughter's bucket list on Facebook.

Some of the other bucket list items include going on a boat ride, dressing up like a princess, celebrating Christmas, going to a concert, meeting Santa Claus and going on a sled ride.

"This is truly amazing," Cory Mars said in an update on his daughter's Go Fund Me page. "I am eternally grateful for everyone and their support. It means the world to my family and it means that we are going to cross everything off her bucket list with all of your help. You are truly amazing and thank you from the bottom of our hearts."
