Britney Spears: Sex Focus Goes Beyond Her Comfort Zone (Video)

Pop star Britney Spears implied Thursday that she is often pushed to be sexier than she is comfortable with during her videos, including the latest hit "Work Bitch."

Spears made the revelation on the TJ Show at WODS-FM in Boston. She suggested in the interview that she is asked to more risqué than she wants to be.

"A lot of sex goes into what I do," Spears said in the interview. "But sometimes I would like to bring it back to the old days when there was like one outfit through the whole video, and you’re dancing the whole video, and there’s like not that much sex stuff going on. . . . I’d love to do a video like that."

Some, like the Hollywood Reporter's Sophie Schillaci, said Spears' "Work Bitch" video had more of a sadomasochism feel to it, aka S&M..

"The Ben Mor-directed clip (below) alternates at breakneck speeds between a desert, a nightclub, a strip club and a pool, where, at one point, the pop superstar is being circled by sharks," Schillaci wrote. "Throughout the nearly four-minute video, Spears brandishes a whip not once, but in five separate scenes. She is, after all, the Queen B."

Spears told WODS-FM, though, that video was much worse in regardless to sexual overtones and she was the one who cleaned it up.

"Oh my god, we showed way more skin and did way more stuff for the video then what is actually there," Spears said to the TJ Show. "Like, I cut out half the video because I am a mother and because, you know, I have children, and it’s just hard to play sexy mom while you’re being a pop star as well. I just have to be true to myself and you know, feel it out when I do stuff."

Mor told Entertainment Weekly that while he did have a "racier" preference, there was nothing shot or that ended up in the video that didn't have Spears explicit approval.

"My cut was a lot racier for sure, but it didn’t necessarily involve Britney," said Mor. "An artist knows how they perceive themselves. I promise you 100 percent: All of these artists are in charge of their content. No one is forcing anyone to do anything that they don’t want to do, and they’re very well aware of that."
