A blind man and a train had a close call in suburban Denver and now the man is looking for the Good Samaritan who stopped him from crossing the light rail tracks moments before the train came by.

Surveillance cameras at the Regional Transportation District's Peoria Station in Aurora, Colorado showed a stranger stopping Mike Wyatt, who is blind, from crossing the track on Nov. 9 just before the light rail train pulled in, KUSA-TV reported.

The video showed how others had stopped apparently waiting for the train while the stranger engaged Wyatt, who is in his 60s, KUSA-TV noted. RTD released the video Tuesday, stating that it was taken about 3:15 p.m.

On Monday, Wyatt carried a hand-written sign to the station, asking: "Have you seen the young man who saved my life last Thursday?"

"You live and you die," Wyatt told KUSA-TV. "It's what you do in between, and this young man did a great thing for me and that's what I want to say to him 'thank you.'"

Wyatt said he planned on returning to the station one more time in hopes to find the man, according to KUSA-TV.

"It really feels like someone is watching over me. That's good. That's really good," Wyatt told the television station. "I will be always remembering this man and his kindness."

The unknown Good Samaritan won plenty of praise on social media.
