Bindi Irwin, the new "Dancing With the Stars" phenom, went on social media with DWTS partner Derek Hough to send up tributes to her dad, the late Crocodile Hunter, on Steve Irwin Day in Australia.
"Remembering everything Dad worked so hard to achieve and continuing his legacy," Bindi Irwin said on Instagram. "We miss you so much and are extremely proud to be carrying on in your footsteps."
Steve Irwin, the popular television personality and wildlife conservationist, died at 44 in 2006 after an encounter with a stingray while filming, noted
Us Weekly.
Hough added a photo of Steve and Bindi Irwin in his Instagram post.

Earlier, Bindi earned the first 10 score on this season's 'DWTS' with an on-air tribute to her father. She also took the audience's breath away with her perfect 10 "Dirty Dancing" lift on another appearance.
On Monday, Bindi and Hough earned three 9s from the 'DWTS' judges as the season moved to the semifinals, said
USA Today. Tamar Braxton had to withdraw from the competition because of health reasons, leaving the remainng four couples to move on to the finals.
"The celebs and their pro partners definitely earned their spots though," said USA Today's Erin Jensen. "Each couple had to dance three times during the show. Performances included an individual dance, a dance-off, and a trio where another pro dancer joined the routine. (Irwin and Hough's) first dance of the evening was a high-energy salsa that included lights, confetti and even a crowd surf from Bindi."
The team of Alek Skarlatos and Lindsay Arnold scored perfect 10's from all three judges in the highest duo scores of the night.
