Bill Cosby has spoken out about the dozens of rape and sexual assault accusations made against him, but his answers were anything but clear.

Cosby, 77, appeared on "Good Morning America" Friday to promote a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children. During the interview, ABC News' Linsey Davis asked Cosby how he would respond if one of the children asked him about the allegations.

"I'm not sure that they will come [asking] like that," Cosby responded.

"I think many of them say, 'Well, you’re a hypocrite. You say one thing, you say the other.' My point is — okay listen to me carefully — I’m telling you where the road is out. I’m telling you where you’re driving you’re going to go into water and it looks like it might only be three inches deep, but you and your car are going to go down. Now, you want to go here or you want to be concerned about who’s giving you the message?"

Elsewhere in the interview, Davis pressed the issue again, asking him if the allegations against him would overshadow his message about helping children.

"I have been in this business over 52 years and I have never seen anything like this. Reality is the situation. And I can't speak," he said.

Cosby seemed rattled by the interview, but nonetheless stated optimism about his legacy and career.

"I really know about what I’m going to do tomorrow. I have a ton of ideas to put on television about people and their love for each other," he concluded.
