“Between Two Ferns’” 30 million views has set a new Funny or Die record, and the folks at the comedy site have Hillary Clinton to thank.

Ahead of Monday’s first presidential debate, Clinton appeared on “Between Two Ferns With Zach Galifianakis,” which was posted on Funny or Die early Wednesday. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the five-minute clip received 30 million views in 24 hours.

In the video, Clinton faces some tough questions, much like she does on a daily basis on the campaign trail. The only difference between these questions and the ones she’ll be asked Monday night is the level of unpredictability and awkwardness.

Before the interview even got started, Clinton deadpanned that sitting down with Galifianakis probably wasn’t the best idea given how dicey his interviews can be.

“Critics have often questioned your decision making, and by doing this show, I hope it finally lays that to rest,” Galifianakis said.

“Oh, I think it absolutely proves their case,” Clinton said.

The last episode of “Between Two Ferns” was posted nearly two years ago and featured Brad Pitt, The Hollywood Reporter noted. It previously held the title as most popular Funny or Die clip, racking up some 500,000 Facebook shares and 25,000 retweets in a 24-hour span.

“There are a million different things that are in your face all the time,” Funny or Die CEO Mike Farah told The Reporter. “Without fail, every time that 'Ferns' comes out, it becomes the thing that everyone is talking about. That’s very rare, so when it happens it should be celebrated.”

The last major political figure to grace the show was President Barack Obama, who joined the Funny or Die segment in 2014, generating more than 16 million views on YouTube.

In fact, it was Obama’s video that reportedly inspired Clinton to have her team contact Farah.

“She had seen the one we did with President Obama and thought it was really funny and effective,” Farah said. “She told her staff about it and they got in touch with me.”

Galifianakis peppered the Clinton segment with outrageously offensive questions on whether she’s ever considered being more racist and what she’ll do if she becomes pregnant while in office, according to the Los Angeles Times.

“What happens if you become pregnant? Are we going to be stuck with Tim Kaine for nine months? How does this work?” Galifianakis asked.

“I could send you some pamphlets that might help you understand,” Clinton responded.

Created by Galifianakis and Scott Aukerman, “Between Two Ferns” first began in 2008.
