Colorado police have issued an arrest warrant for Beth Chapman after she allegedly verbally harassed a teenage girl earlier this month, but the platinum blonde wife of Dog the Bounty Hunter says the officers are wasting their time and resources on "such a ridiculous incident."
Chapman, whose exploits working alongside her fugitive recovery agent husband Duane are captured on CMT's "Dog and Beth: On the Hunt," got into a
verbal altercation with a teenage girl on July 10 in a Colorado park, TMZ reported.
According to Chapman, it all started when a group of fans approached her, Duane, and their three kids while they were fishing at the park. One of those in the group reportedly "had a gun that was plainly visible."

"This guy came over to me while I was out of my car and started saying, 'We're big fans and we want autographs and photos,'"
Chapman told RadarOnline.com. "I wanted him to get away because as he was talking to me he had one hand on his firearm. I called Duane because the guy had a gun. Duane was down at the lake fishing. He came up and told them to get out of here. We then called the cops on the guy with the gun and gathered our stuff."
Chapman said as they were preparing to leave, a car almost hit them.
"My husband and I were there with our family, including very young children, when a young woman in a car with a male driver came speeding dangerously close to where I was walking my dog and to where my children were standing," she said, adding that she threatened to call the cops. "She began to laugh and smirk and told me, 'These cops won't do anything!'
"I didn't like the way they recklessly drove their automobile with young children nearby who could have been seriously injured. I didn't like the way she was scantily dressed flaunting her almost naked appearance in the presence of my kids."
Chapman allegedly called the woman a tramp and a slut and then left. Under Colorado law, if someone taunts, challenges, or uses "coarse language," it can be considered criminal harassment, though Chapman thinks it's ridiculous.
"The only thing this girl got was a tongue lashing that her mother should have given her before she left the house that day in her Daisy Dukes with her butt cheeks hanging out," she said. "Embarrassed? Possibly. But harassed? Not."
Police issued an arrest warrant for Chapman, but admitted it's the equivalent of a traffic ticket.

"No one would be even remotely interested in this if it wasn't a celebrity," a police spokesperson told RadarOnline.com.
Chapman and her husband rose to fame on the A&E series "Dog the Bounty Hunter," which was cancelled in 2012 after eight seasons.
