The 10 best places to work in 2018 have been revealed in Glassdoor's Employees' Choice Awards, and technology companies make a strong showing on the list.

Each year the career website releases a list featuring the top companies to work for across the U.S., and the information comes straight from the horse's mouth, or in this case, the employee's mouth.

Glassdoor wades through thousands of company reviews and ratings submitted by current and former employees to produce the annual results.

Here are the top 10 large companies to work for.

1. Facebook

This is the third time the social media giant has been among the top 10 on Glassdoor's list of 100 best places to work, CNET noted.

One Menlo Park employee described working for the company, saying, according to Forbes, "You are working with very smart people who are energized and believe in the work they are doing … You are empowered and encouraged to wield influence and ship products that can literally affect billions of people … There is also a lot of food."

2. Bain & Company

According to Business Insider, this company has managed to secure a top four position each year since Glassdoor first began issuing rankings over nine years ago, topping the list in 2016, 2014 and 2012.

3. Boston Consulting Group

Great challenges, great atmosphere, great rewards, great communication and great bosses were some of the top perks employees listed about the company in the Great Place to Work review.

4. In-N-Out Burger

Not many fast food chain stores make Glassdoor's list of best places to work, but In-N-Out Burger is the exception.

Carl Van Fleet, vice president of planning and development at In-N-Out, explained why to the HuffPost.

"We strive to create a working environment that is upbeat, enthusiastic and customer-focused," he said. "A higher pay structure is helpful in making that happen, but it is only part of our approach. It is equally important to treat our associates well and maintain that positive working environment in all of our restaurants."

5. Google

Imagine working at a company that provides free food as well as free cooking classes and offers a program that allows its employees to bring in guest speakers who interest them.

According to Insider these are just two of many perks of working at Google.

Employees also have access to an on-site gym, massage therapists, free shuttle services, education subsidies and tuition reimbursement and more.

6. Lululemon

Employees of this Vancouver-based sporting apparel company cited the free workout classes offered by the company, store discounts as well as an overall positive work environment as reasons why the company was great to work for, Forbes noted.

7. HubSpot

The software developer and marketer has earned a reputation over the years for being one of the top companies to work for and has ensured its employees are happy by offering them tuition reimbursement, maternity and paternity leave for new parents, a free books program, unlimited vacation and work-from-home, a dog-friendly office space, a fully-staffed coffee bar and a kitchen fully stocked with healthy snack options like cereal, fruit, vegetables, Henry Franco, a brand marketing associate at HubSpot said.

8. World Wide Technology

The 25-year-old company is known for its innovative initiatives to keep its employees happy.

Among these are on on-site health center as well as work stations that let employees exercise on a treadmill while working, Fortune said.

Employees also get regular access to massage therapists.

9. St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

In a review to Glassdoor, one employee summed up the working experience at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital: "I can say that they have the BEST medical/dental/vision insurance policies of any organization where I've worked, in Memphis. The Administration at SJ really wants all employees to have work/life balance. To assist employees with this, they have a first class gym, on campus, with free membership to all employees. They offer group exercise programs or, you may choose to take an afternoon bike ride with other employees."

10. Ultimate Software

Jason Ruggles, who joined the company over 15 years ago, told Computer World that it felt like he was working in a family environment.

"Every time I see the CTO, he remembers stories and he knows my daughter's name," he said. "It makes me feel like I don't have to compartmentalize my life. I'm not working for 'the man,' I'm working for family and friends."
