Ben Affleck has decided he is better off alone following his split with girlfriend Ana de Armas. Last week it emerged the pair called it quits, with reports claiming it was de Armas who had broken things off.
Now Affleck is focusing on himself, sources have revealed to The Mirror.
"Ben's friends want him to take a break from dating, work on himself, and stop rushing into romances," an insider told the outlet. "He jumps head-first into these very intense relationships and gives them his all, but then they all implode as soon as the honeymoon's over. Even Ben accepts he would be better off being single for a while."
The source added there is one thing that could change Affleck's mind – if de Armas begged him for a second chance.
"He's going to try the single life – unless there's some miracle and Ana comes back asking for another chance," the insider explained.
Whether or not Affleck can stay single for long remains to be seen, the source added. Affleck and de Armas were first linked in March when they were spotted taking a trip to Cuba. By August, rumors were swirling the pair had moved in together after they were spotted moving suitcases to Affleck's $20 million Pacific Palisades mansion.
While things appeared to be going well between the two, a source told People, things were "complicated" between them.
"Their relationship was complicated," the insider said. "Ana doesn't want to be Los Angeles-based and Ben obviously has to, since his kids live in Los Angeles."
