Audible users can skip straight to the good part of romance novels with a new feature the audiobook subscription service launched, The Verge noted.

Audible Romance offers subscribers access to thousands of titles and allows listeners the opportunity to indulge in audio samples from celebrity guests.

The "take me to the good part" feature allows users to jump straight to the steamy sections of the audiobook.

According to GeekWire, this feature works through machine learning technology that is able to identify the "good parts" of audiobooks by scanning key words, phrases and groups of words.

Chief Financial Officer Cynthia Chu, who heads the company's data science team, told The Verge that the feature allows users to identify the good parts based on their preferences.

"We want them to choose what those good parts are," she said. "It's different for everybody."

Audible's chief content officer, Andy Gaies, added that subscribers wanted to use the feature in very different ways.

"Some are using it for content discovery: 'I want to listen to this part before I invest in this book,'" Gaies told The Verge. "Some are using it as a consumption mechanism: 'I just want to listen to a lot of moments around proposals, because that's really exciting to me.' And some are using it to revisit moments from their favorite listens: 'I've listened to this book in the past, and I just want to go back and hear that flirty banter again, because it's something I remember and loved, and it's an easy way to get it back there.'"

Complementing this feature is the option to classify books according to levels of steaminess, TechCrunch reported.

A "steaminess meter" allows users to rank books on a scale ranging from "sweet" to "sizzling," "hot damn" and "o-o-omg."

The Audible Romance package also allows users to track micro-genres easily by identifying over 30 romance sub-genres.

The launch of this services comes at a time when digital romance novels are enjoying a massive boom.

These steamy novels represent nearly a third of e-book sales, versus just 4 percent of print sales, according to Marketwatch.
