An anti-Trump hotel is scheduled to open in spring 2018 in Washington, D.C., just a few blocks away from the Trump International Hotel.

The Eaton Workshop hotel is described as "the world's first politically motivated hotel," according to Bloomberg, and is geared toward attracting liberal guests as well as those who believe themselves to be "woke."

Katherine Lo, the founder of Eaton Workshop, told Bloomberg that the venue would cater to public activism by hosting engaging dialogue and progressive TED talks-inspired lectures around a fireplace.

The 209-room hotel also will play host to art installations, exhibitions and a writer's residency program for investigative reporters.

These events are all built around liberal ideas and, to emphasize this stance, a video installation will be erected in the lobby, showing footage from the 2012 and 2016 presidential elections.

"We plan to have new ideas in the minibar—an activist toolkit, for example, that includes sheets with information to help you call your congresspeople," Lo said, according to Newsweek.

The venue will be centered on "liberal activism," "liberal philosophy" and "civic engagement," Newsweek noted.

Lo, who is the daughter of a luxury hotel developer in Hong Kong, told CBS News that locations would also be opened in Hong Kong, Seattle and San Francisco, ultimately "merging hospitality with progressive social change."

"Our properties foster a conscious atmosphere to promote this vision," Lo said in a statement to the network.

"We believe that we're a step toward a more humane business that provides space for community building and learning in a world that needs it, and we think hospitality can be a tremendous catalyst for social and environmental impact."

According to Eaton Workshop's website, the site offers "an interdisciplinary hotel experience" that features shared and communal workspaces, live events and programming as well as community-building classes such as yoga and meditation and alternative therapies.
