Allen Iverson Kids Missing; His Ex-Wife Wants Them Returned

Where are Allen Iverson's children? That's what their mother would like to know, according a TMZ.com report.

Tawanna Iverson, who divorced the former NBA All-Star earlier this year, demanded in a legal document filed Monday that the five children she had with him be returned, TMZ.com reported.

Tawanna Iverson said the children were never returned after Allen Iverson received permission to take them on a vacation to Charlotte, N.C., between May 22-26, according to TMZ.com. Tawanna Iverson said in the court filling that she believes the children, ages 3 to 16, are actually in a hotel in Georgia, TMZ said.

An attempted exchange June 4 fell through and Tawanna Iverson wants Allen Iverson placed under arrest, according to the TMZ report.

The couple were in each other's crosshairs earlier this month with Tawanna Iverson charging that Allen Iverson owes $40,000 in child support, according to RollingOut.com. Iverson denied the charges.

Earlier this year during their divorce hearing in Atlanta, Tawanna Iverson was granted full custody of the children, according to a TMZ report back in February.

The judge at that time lashed out at Allen Iverson for his alleged lack of interest in them.

"(Allen Iverson) does not know how to manage the children; has little interest in learning to manage the children and has actually, at times, been a hindrance to their spiritual and emotional growth and development," the judge said at the divorce hearing, reported TMZ.com.

"For example, he has refused to attend to an obvious and serious alcohol problem, which has caused him to do inappropriate things in the presence of the children while impaired. He has left the children alone without supervision. He has left his young daughters in a hotel room with men who are unknown to the mother," the TMZ report continued.

Allen Iverson has not played in the NBA since 2010. Iverson spent the majority of his career with the Philadelphia 76ers, but also played with the Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons and Memphis Grizzlies. He is a former NBA rookie of the year and four-time scoring champion. He has been named to an NBA all-star 11 times. ESPN listed him as one of the top five shooting guards of all-time in 2008.
