Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri was slapped with a random drug test on Monday, the day after he nailed a 53-yard field goal. That prompted many to speculate: Just how random was this test?
As NFL.com reported, teammate and punter Pat McAfee got a hold of Vinatieri's summons, and posted it to Twitter.
In the tweet, McAfee praised Vinatieri with the #GOAT hashtag — which stands for Greatest of All Time — and also alluded to his age. At 42, Vinatieri is definitely one of the oldest players in the game, but is — in the 19th year of his career — having one of the best seasons of his life.
After Sunday's Wild Card playoff game, he's 34 for 35 in the season.
His four field goals helped secure a 10-26 victory over the Bengals, and advanced the team to the next round.
According to Fox Sports, McAfee himself also received a drug test that didn't seem so random last season after taking down then-Denver Broncos kick returner Trindon Holliday with a massive hit.
