Well, rats — I’m running out of things to read.

The anti-Trumpists include The Weekly Standard, The National Review, Red State, The Wall Street Journal, Hot Air, Charles Krauthammer’s column, George Will’s column, Fox News Daily, and Morning Jolt.

Pretty soon I’m going to be reduced to reading Ann Coulter’s columns and listening to Michael Savage. Yikes.

In an attempt to fix things, I have a comment and a suggestion to my fellow conservatives to try and solve this conundrum:

Comment: Donald Trump’s name is not Barack Obama, nor is it Hillary Clinton. Therefore, he is perfect.

Suggestion: It’s actually an idea, and a novel one: why not let the American people elect the person they want?

The voters, I am sure, are delighted to be armed with all the information the Republican establishment are gracious enough to provide, and even if most of it is ignored at this point, (Dole, McCain, Romney), such a responsibility has been satisfied on the part of our establishment betters.

Being forced to accept another squishy sure-to-lose candidate, (Dole, McCain, Romney), rather than the candidate we want, through the threatened brokered convention, is tantamount to the Republican Party declaring war against its own constituency.

We have all observed the Republican Party demonstrate its continued investment in keeping things they way they are, (Dole, McCain, Romney), and nothing, not the fate of the nation, the dissolution of a formerly great party and certainly not the will of the American people, comes close to the significance of the maintenance of the status quo for this increasingly pathetic excuse for a national party.

There is nothing more important to these people than staying plugged in to power in Washington. They don’t care any more than the mainstream media who is destroyed in the process of maintaining what exists – look at what was done to Sarah Palin because of her, as they perceived it, low-classness.

What the conservative elites did to her was even more vicious than what the MSM did; it was and is nothing short of shameful. Mrs. Palin’s crime, to call armegeddon down upon her head, was to be a beautiful, brilliant speaker who was a true conservative, albeit with a strong mid-Atlantic accent and a lack of acceptable academic credentials.

They really do think that we, their conservative voter base, are extremely tiresome idiots who have to be tolerated every election cycle. Otherwise, we’re supposed to shut up, fork over as much money as often as we are asked, and otherwise do what we are told.

It is quite magnificent now that we are no longer placing ourselves in this demeaning position; thus our support of a candidate for the presidency who is the polar opposite of what the Republican establishment wants for us, (Dole, McCain, Romney).

Donald J. Trump. Outsider. Leader. Warrior.

Maybe not conservative, but where has voting for conservative candidates gotten us in the last two off-year elections? The answer is: exactly nowhere.
