June 24, 2022: Sixty-five percent (65%) of voters say that, over the past year, their income has fallen behind inflation. A Scott Rasmussen national survey found that 26% say their income has kept up, and 8% are not sure.

The survey also found that 63% of voters say their personal finances are fair or poor, and 47% say they are getting worse. Just 35% say their personal finances are excellent or good, and 21% say that they are getting better.

Methodology
The survey of 1,200 registered voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on June 7-8, 2022. Fieldwork for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied, and the sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of registered voters. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population.

The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 2.8 percentage points.
