Between Thanksgiving and New Year’s this year, the U.S. Postal Service expects to ship 900 million packages and 15 billion pieces of first-class mail. Approximately 200 million packages will be sent this week alone, the busiest week of the year for the Postal Service.
For all last-minute shoppers, the Postal Service says tomorrow — Dec. 20 — is the last day to send first-class mail and packages to arrive in time for Christmas. If you want to cut it a bit closer, you can wait two extra days and use Priority Mail Express.
