PGA Tour golfer Ben Crane took an alternate route to the sixth green on Friday: The fifth fairway.

Crane left golf legend and broadcaster Nick Faldo befuddled as Crane aimed way left off the sixth tee during the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. After smashing his drive over the trees, he said "shortcut." Faldo quickly realized that Crane was taking a shortcut to the sixth green.

"How did he see that?" Faldo asked on the air. "Is that allowed?"

Faldo then joked that the greens keeper would find a tree to plant in that opening the following day.
