In 2020, the Supreme Court issued an outrageous decision: Oklahoma vs McGirt. According to the Department of Justice, in 1997, Jimcy McGirt was convicted of “First Degree Rape by Instrumentation, Lewd Molestation, and Forcible Sodomy.”
McGirt’s victim was a 4-year-old girl. Nevertheless, this pervert’s attorney convinced five Supreme Court justices to rule in McGirt’s favor.
Fortunately, federal prosecutors were able to retry the case and keep McGirt in prison throughout the trial. Other victims will not be so fortunate.
Chief Justice John Roberts wrote in his dissenting opinion:
“Today, the Court holds that Oklahoma lacked jurisdiction to prosecute McGirt — on the improbable ground that, unbeknownst to anyone for the past century, a huge swathe of Oklahoma is actually a Creek Indian reservation, on which the State may not prosecute serious crimes committed by Indians like McGirt.”
According to the State of Oklahoma, “State courts no longer have the authority to prosecute crimes committed by or against Oklahomans who are also tribal members.”
Without the state courts, the United State Justice Department received 6,700 criminal referrals from July 2020 to October 2021. Federal prosecutors have been unable to handle a 400% increase in their workload.
At the end of FY 2021, the Eastern District of Oklahoma was able to open 22% of referrals while the Northern District of Oklahoma opened 31% of referrals. Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt went on Tucker Carlson’s show to bring attention to this crisis.
I recently interviewed Alex Gray who is running in the Republican primary for U.S. Senate in Oklahoma. I certainly wasn’t aware of this Supreme Court decision until I spoke with him.
Currently, the primary is a tight race. The only person who can clinch this race is President Trump.
In 2016 and 2020, Trump won Oklahoma by 65%. In both elections, only the voters in West Virginia and Wyoming gave him a higher percentage than Oklahoma.
Ric Grenell, who served in the Trump administration as U.S. Ambassador to Germany and acting Director of National Intelligence, said:
“Alex Gray doesn’t just talk about the America First agenda. He’s been with President Trump from Trump Tower to his last day in the White House fighting to Make America Great Again. Alex doesn’t just talk about taking on the Deep State and the Swamp — he’s actually done it. We need Senators who don’t just talk about standing with President Trump because it’s popular but who have an actual record of fighting for America First policies.”
(Full disclosure: Ric Grenell is currently a national security contributor, and a vice president, at Newsmax Media Inc.)
Alex Gray was also endorsed by immigration hawks like Sheriff Joe Arpaio and former California Gov. Pete Wilson.
From 2019 to 2021, Alex Gray served at Chief of Staff to National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien. Before that, Gray worked with Peter Navarro as Special Assistant to the President for the Defense Industrial Base at the White House National Economic Council (NEC).
In 2017, President Trump signed Executive Order 13806 to determine how we can stop China’s trade policies from threatening our national security. Alex played a key role in crafting that executive order.
Alex Gray was a loyal aide to President Trump. There were lots of people in the administration who were actively hostile to President Trump’s policies.
Some of them have become prominent Trump critics including White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, National Security Adviser John Bolton, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Secretary of Defense James Mattis, Anthony Scaramucci, Omarosa Manigault Newman, Cliff Sims, and the “Anonymous” Miles Taylor.
Alex Gray singled out Mark Esper as “the worst Secretary of Defense in history.” Gray told me how Esper opposed sending hospital ships during the height of the pandemic. Afterwards, Esper took credit for the decision to dispatch them.
One of the biggest moments during Gray’s tenure at the NSC was the decision to shut down civil aviation. Tony Fauci opposed it before he took credit for it.
When I asked him about inflation Alex said, except for Sens. Ted Cruz and Mike Lee, most Republican senators do not hold the line on spending. Sen.Mike Lee of Utah has endorsed Alex Gray in the primary.
Most Senate Republicans recently voted on May 19 to spend $40 billion dollars to protect Ukraine, but they couldn’t spend $22 billion to build the wall on our border.
Only 11 Republican Senators voted against it. The American people deserve better.
