An Obama judicial appointee has issued a permit that allows leftists in Congress to enter the 2020 Big Orange Fishing Tournament. Judge Edgardo Ramos, according to The Hill, “ruled that Deutsche Bank and Capital One may provide President Trump's financial records to House Democratic lawmakers after the administration attempted to block the move.”

The difference between law enforcement investigating someone and a leftist House is that law enforcement must have “probable cause” before a judge will issue a warrant that grants the investigator access to records.

For readers who aren’t lawyers or cops, Law.com defines probable cause as: “sufficient reason based upon known facts to believe a crime has been committed or that certain property is connected with a crime. Probable cause must exist for a law enforcement officer to make an arrest without a warrant, search without a warrant, or seize property in the belief the items were evidence of a crime.”

But all leftists need to seize records is an intense dislike of President Trump and a cooperative politician in judicial robes.

Now Adam ‘Pencil Neck’ Schiff can go over Trump’s private financial records with a fine-tooth comb. He’s not going to be looking for evidence of a crime. As Trump’s lawyers explained, “Democrats in Congress were solely acting to dredge up damaging information relating to the president ahead of the 2020 election.”

Schiff knows he can’t win in a court of law, but that doesn’t matter. He will use the information solely to damage Trump in the court of public opinion.

Naturally Schiff — whose remaining credibility would fit comfortably in a thimble with room to spare — denies the completely accurate charge of organizing a fishing expedition.

“He said that a bombshell New York Times report that Deutsche Bank staff had highlighted ‘suspicious’ activity in accounts attached to Trump and his son-in-law and White House aide Jared Kushner shows ‘why it's so important for us to do our work without delay or interference by the president or family members.’"

The New York Times, why that’s a paragon of credibility rivaling the Steele Dossier for accuracy and lack of bias.

There is also a hidden subtext to these investigations of Trump’s successful business activity before he was elected. The professional political class is sending a message to any other uppity businessman who might be thinking about running for president. The message is we will unmercifully attack your businesses and business background if you dare to run and win.

Trump will appeal this joke of a ruling by a joke of a judge and he will no doubt win when the appeal reaches the Supreme Court. That won’t stop the attacks from the left. Congress has plenty of lawyers on the taxpayer payroll and as long as the left controls the House, those lawyers will continue to attack the president.
