The New York Post brought a story to our attention that we would normally be inclined to associate with Walmart. Police were called to a disturbance as "hundreds of shoppers were lined up outside the store awaiting its 8 a.m. opening."

The store was already operating under Flu Manchu orders which limited the number of customers allowed inside and required the line of waiting shoppers to snake its way through shipping pallets positioned like mini-Berlin walls outside the store.

Push almost came to shove when employees inside the store kept the doors locked 30 minutes past the posted opening time. Police were called to soothe matters and facilitate an orderly opening.

What makes this unusual is the restive pre-riot crowd was at Costco instead of Walmart.

The customer base at Walmart is usually considered more volatile than that at the upscale Costco.

If Costco shoppers are losing patience with Wuflu restrictions changes may be on the horizon.

The fact is the American people allowed Chicken Little to set policy for the nation.

The so-called "experts" the left encourages us to rely upon to do our thinking for us, were spectacularly wrong.

RedState.com points out early fatality projections for the China flu were upwards of 7% of the infected. And here’s where the expert’s incompetence worked to their advantage.

The lack of reliable tests for the Kung flu meant the number of confirmed cases was vastly smaller than it was in reality, while confirmed deaths from the virus were a somewhat harder number.

Lack of testing only served to grant "mini-fuhrers" in the bureaucracy more license to control citizens in the name of "health and safety."

The inflated fatality rate served to feed The Great Pandemic Panic.

Now that testing has increased, the public is learning the infection rate was "somewhere between 50 and 80 other people infected for each one who has been officially recorded. That puts us right at or below the Mortality Rate for our annual flu, less than .1%. It appears that most of the decisions were made without the most important pieces of hard evidence."

We’ve been sold a bill of goods that served as a neutron bomb for the economy.

Even in California, the home of the Nanny State, politicians are getting restless. Not about businesses being closed — after all this is California — but about Gov. Gavin Newsom’s vindictive order to close beaches in Orange County.

Fox News reports, "Huntington Beach and Dana Point city councils voted in emergency sessions to take legal steps against the governor, who ordered all beaches and state parks in Orange County temporarily closed after seeing crowds on the sandy beaches not practicing social distancing."

The science Newsom allegedly worships says sunlight kills the Wufluenza virus and the wind serves to disperse and dilute any pesky germs, so the closure is simply an exercise of raw power, as are all the rest of the closures in the United States.

Let’s hope Costco and California will lead the way and give timid "leaders" the will to open their cities and states before there is nothing left to reopen.
