Leftists Stay on Losing Streak Fast Lane With Fake Trump News

It’s obvious the left needs to hire a new smear scheduler.

During the same week that President Trump was falsely accused of slandering our World War I dead, former Clinton press secretary Joe Lockhart tried to peddle a smear that claimed Trump suffered a mini-stroke in November 2019 and had to be rushed to Walter Reed Medical Center.

The motive for this smear is transparent.

When the increasingly pitiful Joe Biden is your presidential candidate, anything the left can do to question our current president’s mental acuity is a plus.

The left’s new best friend, The Drudge Report, fell for it and highlighted stroke-gate for at least a day in the featured spot on itspage. After that the tale entered a persistent vegetative state and has not been heard from since.

Of course, there is no teapot with a tempest too small to attract the president’s notice and the president’s wrath.

The Trump campaign immediately typed a hot tweet demand, "CNN should fire Joe Lockhart."

Only the rest of the tweet demonstrates why firing Joe is a terrible idea.

According to the tweet, Lockhart is responsible for Democrat presidential candidate Michael Dukakis donning the tank helmet when he went for a joyride in an armored vehicle during the 1988 presidential campaign.

Dukakis looked like a hamster driving a Hot Wheel.

The photo is iconic in campaign annals. The Shannon half of this duo has used the photo in his lectures on what not to do in any campaign at any level.

But that’s not Lockhart’s only claim to infamy according to theTrump campaign.

He's also given credit for "single-handedly" sinking John Kerry’s presidential campaign in 2004. And if it was Lockhart’s idea for Kerry to announce he was "reporting for duty" in his nomination acceptance speech, then we have no choice but to agree.

As was said of another foolish public figure, Lockhart only opens his mouth to change feet.

uring the hype extravaganza that always surrounds hurricanes, Lockhart suggested Hurricane Laura — when it was still supposed to be deadlier than Katrina — was heading for Texas and Louisiana due to "karma."

Then Lockhart decided to tread where other ‘news" organizations had already stumbled and called Nick Sandman — the teenaged Right-to-Life supporter falsely slandered by, wait for it, CNN and Jeff Bezos’ The Washington Post — a "snot nose entitled kid from Kentucky" during his RNC speech.

Instead of firing Lockhart, conservatives must hope he is not only kept on board by CNN, but also given a show of his own.

From that perch Lockhart can dispense his deadly campaign advice to a national audience.

The more leftists who take his direction, the more leftists who are sure to fail.
