Conservatives received two snow jobs in the past week and both contain very bad news.

The first was a story in Time magazine that was remarkable for how it twisted the meaning of commonly used terms.

According to Time, "a well-funded cabal of powerful people, ranging across industries and ideologies, working together behind the scenes to influence perceptions, change rules and laws, steer media coverage and control the flow of information in an effort to determine the [election] outcome"  isn’t a threat to the Republic.

The fact this "cabal" only supported expanding the voting alternatives that are most susceptible to fraud, recruited the Opposition Media to persuade voters that a delay of days in the vote count was perfectly normal, demanded every vote — rather than every legal vote — be counted and used a combination of media and social media to censor and suppress information damaging to the Biden campaign is not, according to Time, an undemocratic plot that is the equivalent of a "soft coup."

Time assures us, "They were not rigging the election; they were fortifying it." You can read the entire ten–ton snow job by searching for "The Secret History of the Shadow Campaign That Saved the 2020 Election."

It helpfully lists names of the principal conspirators, along with their respective organizations, and the role of each in the "coup."

The question is why reveal this now?

The Senate is a tie.

The left has only a four–vote margin in the House.

Their hold on power is tenuous at best, which is why they keep interrupting Biden’s nap to sign executive decrees.

Prudence would seem to dictate the plot be kept secret and used again in the 2022 midterm elections.

Instead we’re treated to more than 6,500 words of insouciant gloating, sanctimony and triumphalism.

Some of it is "soft coup" plotters wanting a bit of the limelight before others can claim it.

But mostly it is concrete evidence that in the mind of the left the narrow margin of control they currently cling to is but a temporary condition.

They have no intention of letting conservatives win again.

The left will use a combination of executive orders, Big Tech, the Opposition Media, censorship and mail–in ballot irregularities to build the current lead into an insurmountable advantage.

Which brings us to the second snow job, involving actual snow.

Virginia Heffernan, of the Los Angeles Times, wrote a column titled, "What can you do about the Trumpites next door?"

After reading it we can’t help but think her answer is "drone strike." Heffernan is in an uproar after an act of  "aggressive niceness."

The Trumpistas plowed the snow blocking her driveway without asking!

Heffernan was minding her own business, quarantined in a remote getaway. Global warming paid a visit and the neighborhood was buried under a blanket of snow.

Her neighbors had the equipment at hand so they plowed their driveway and Heffernan’s.

We’re guessing her jurisdiction doesn’t let residents file after–the–fact trespassing complaints.

Instead, Heffernan wrote a column.

The reward the neighbors get for their efforts is as follows: Heffernan implies they are bigots.

She compares their good deed to Hezbollah terrorists: "Hezbollah …also gives things away for free. …They offer protection and hospitality and win loyalty that way. And they also demand devotion to their brutal, us-versus-them anti-Sunni cause."

That’s followed by an oblique comparison of them to the Nazi occupiers of France. Then Heffernan summarizes, "My neighbors supported a man who showed near-murderous contempt for the majority of Americans. They kept him in business with their support."

Why there is no telling what those monsters were doing with their snow plow while Heffernan wasn’t around to keep an eye on them! Maybe that plowed field was really a mass grave!

Her solution to the dilemma is to offer her neighbors an opportunity to join a struggle session where they can confess their sins in an orgy of self–criticism, repent for their support of Trump and promise to work only for the goals of the left.

Or they could just leave buried leftists to stew in their won juices. Then Heffernan could write columns about the Trumpoids who wouldn’t plow her driveway.

Heffernan’s column is both important and bad news.

Not for what is says, but for what it reveals about the mind of the left.

People just like Heffernan are running the country now.

They intend to keep running it.

And they view people like us as a problem that must be solved or removed before the USA can make any progress.

If that doesn’t motivate you to get busy and defend yourself, then nothing will
