A federal judge in Chicago has granted a request by three media organizations for immediate access to a key document outlining the government's evidence against former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich.
Judge James Zagel granted the request by the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Sun-Times and The Associated Press in a one-sentence order posted on the court docket Wednesday.
It was not immediately clear if the entire document would be released or whether parts would be omitted.
Defense attorneys had contended that the document's release could bias potential jurors against the former governor.
Blagojevich is accused of scheming to sell President Barack Obama's U.S. Senate seat and illegally pressuring campaign donors. He's denied any wrongdoing.
