With the 2020 presidential elections just over the horizon, look for plenty of pyrotechnics this week on Capitol Hill as the Senate kicks off hearings Tuesday to scrutinize President Trump’s selection of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to serve on the Supreme Court.

Six Senate Democrats believed to harbor presidential aspirations -- Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey, Sen. Kamala Harris of California, Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, Sen. Jeff Merkley of Oregon, and Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts -- are expected to take a vocal role in opposing Kavanaugh.
