The Tide Is Turning

That's my guess. But what I would like to see is Al Gore succeed in using the Democratic Florida Supreme Court and whatever court he can muster to steal this presidency away from George Bush. I'm not alone here. I was talking to some Republican House leaders over the weekend and they agreed that such an eventuality would result in a 20-seat gain for the Republicans in the next congressional election.

Now we are seeing that the Democrats will go to any lengths, legal and illegal, to get their hands on the power of government, and when they feel a threat of lost power, they go into full war footing. The GOP needs to grow some teeth if they want to hold on to power.

The orchestrated attempt on the part of the Gore campaign to deny a vote to military men overseas has our armed forces hopping mad. Simply put, they are not prepared to accept Al Gore as their commander in chief.

"I can properly describe our attitudes toward the Democrats, specifically Gore, as being of an overtly contemptuous nature and to the point of being furious," said a senior Army enlisted soldier in Germany. "I have contact with hundreds of soldiers each week. I cannot say that even one single soldier displays any level of respect for this man and the actions of the Democratic Party. I have a number of colleagues who have already prepared their resignations and retirement requests who state that they would 'refuse' to serve in a military commanded by Gore."

What we are facing here is more than a stolen election. We are facing a dispirited U.S. military that may have to face some rather serious threats from countries such as China and North Korea, not to mention continued troubles in the Middle East.

Aren’t you Democrats proud of your candidate?

What was the difference between Broward and Palm Beach counties?

In Broward County they would count a ballot with a single dimple. The rest of the votes could be punched completely through, as the instructions called for, and the Broward canvassing board would then look for some sort of nick or indentation around Gore or Bush’s number to count as a vote. Nobody from Broward seemed to be able to explain why a voter would be able to vote correctly in every race except the presidential race.

In Palm Beach County, I’m told, only ballots with multiple dimples counted. In other words, they looked for a pattern – an indication that the voter was just unable to punch all the way through the ballot or didn’t know how to use the stylus properly.

If Palm Beach had used the Broward standard and if they had finished their hand count on time, Gore would have picked up an additional 840 votes.

By the way, Palm Beach did finish its count later last evening. The final tally? I understand it was about 180 votes. Not enough.

You remember Donna Brazile, don’t you? She is the black women Gore put out front as his "campaign manager." Now we know the truth. She was a token, a bone thrown to the black community to show Gore’s dedication to multiculturalism. Now that we have an election crisis under way in Florida, Brazile is nowhere to be seen.

The real managers, Bill Daley and the lawyer crowd, came forward to take their proper places in the Gore campaign. Brazile did weigh in early in the process. She took to the microphone to say that black voters were kept from the polls by roadblocks and dogs. Then she disappeared again.

It’s been almost three weeks now and the media has not presented us with one single person, black or otherwise, who was kept from voting by a police roadblock or by a dog. Not one.

Conclusion? Brazile lied. She decided to get up there in front of the microphones and play a big-time race card – dogs and police keeping black people back from the polls! Shades of Alabama!

It’s not the first time Brazile played the race card in this campaign. The Gorons would like to make sure it’s the last, at least for the time being. She knew the dogs and roadblocks story was a lie, and so did her friends in the Gore campaign. Now they’re working to keep her away from microphones before she makes further idiots out of the Gorons.

It seems that Bob Dole and others have found ample opportunity to speak out on Gore’s attempt to squash military votes. But where has Republican war hero John McCain been?
